march to may.

I’ve been in a little rut lately. Not many productive things have been accomplished; I’ve let my precious blog wither away.
I’m sorry, blog. I promise to take better care of you. I will be much more attentive. Starting…NOW!

Welcome to March, everyone!
I know many of you are excited for this new month. The month that brings Spring, the mostly lovely of all seasons.

I don’t know about you, but I always feel extremely energized at the beginning of a new month. New goals to make, things to accomplish.

With 74 days, training for the Cleveland Half Marathon is coming along wonderfully. My plan is mapped out perfectly (*cough*nerd*cough*). Mentally pumping yourself up is also part of training.

While running my 4 miles tonight, I decided that “Month of May” is going to be my half marathon theme. The song by Grammy Award-Winning Arcade Fire came on and I instantly felt inspired and well, pumped.

Arcade Fire – Month of May

Gonna make a record in the month of May
In the month of May in the month of May
Gonna make a record in the month of May
When the violent wind blows the wires away

Month of May it’s a violent thing
In the city their hearts start to sing
Well some people singing sounds like screaming
Used to doubt it but now I believe it

Month of May everybody sing love
In the city watch it from above
And just when I knew what I wanted to say
The violent wind blew the wires away

(We were shocked in the suburbs)

Now the kids are all standing with their arms folded tight
The kids are all standing with their arms folded tight
Now some things are pure and some things are right
But the kids are still standing with their arms folded tight
I said some things are pure and some things are right
But the kids are still standing with their arms folded tight
So young so young

So much pain for someone so young well
I know it’s heavy I know it ain’t light
But how you gonna lift it with your arms folded tight?

First they built the road,
then they built the town,
that’s why we’re still driving around
and around and around and around
and around ……

2009, 2010 Wanna make a record how I felt then
When I stood outside in the month of May
And watched the violent wind blow the wires away

If I died in the month of May

Let the wind take my body away then

Wish I may I wish I might
Make me down there with my arms folded tight

It’s almost too perfect. Gonna SET a record in the month of May…

Before my awesome run this evening I ate pizza, but not any regular old pizza…

Delicious.

Welcome to Awesome-Town:

Oh, again?

This beautiful idea has been floating around blog world for a while and no wonder.

Pizza, good.
Egg, good.
Eggy Pizza, goooood.

Bake pizza normally, crack an egg (or two) on top and finish baking for few minutes. I would suggest a regular circle-shaped pie. This plank style was not a good platform for the eggy membrane. After much struggle I finally got the egg to work with me, but it wasn’t easy. I got my revenge though…
